Turn your computer into a podcast production partner.
NewsTune helps an AI agent turn project files and working notes into a continuing
podcast—not just a one-off episode. It can find your existing series, preserve its
context, collect project progress, prepare scheduled updates, choose authorized voices,
and publish an approved episode scope to the web or RSS.
ChatGPT + Codex: OAuthClaude Code + local agents: portable SkillPrivate by default
Your computer keeps the working context; NewsTune receives the podcast inputs needed to create and manage content in your account.
Two ways to connect, built for different environments.
The Marketplace app uses delegated OAuth and never asks you to paste an API key into a chat. The portable Skill keeps working in local AI environments that support Agent Skills.
Planned for ChatGPT and Codex
NewsTune Studio app
After OpenAI review and publication, install or connect NewsTune Studio from the Marketplace, then sign in to NewsTune and approve the requested scopes.
No API key is copied into the conversation.
Read, create, and publish permissions are delegated separately.
Paid generation and public publishing use preview-and-confirm flows.
Disconnect or revoke the authorization when you no longer need it.
Portable across local agents
NewsTune Agent Skill
Install the portable Skill in Claude Code, Codex, or another compatible local agent, then create a dedicated NewsTune API key.
The key belongs only in a trusted local secret store.
Use a separate key per agent so it can be revoked independently.
The “Local AI assistant” preset includes all scopes for full workflows.
Save the key through the Skill helper's hidden local-terminal input; never paste it into an AI conversation.
The agent can keep the editorial thread of a real project instead of rebuilding context for every episode.
01
Read work on your computer
Turn selected folders, documents, code, and development history into a clean production brief while keeping unrelated private material out of the request.
02
Collect project progress
Track decisions, direction changes, and milestones so each update explains why the project moved—not only what files changed.
03
Prepare scheduled episodes
Use your agent’s automation support to collect new progress daily or weekly, skip an empty update, and prepare the next private episode for review.
04
Continue an existing series
Search every owned series with pagination, read recent episode context, and add to the right show instead of creating a duplicate.
05
Choose an authorized voice
Browse available voices or open NewsTune’s protected voice studio to select or clone only your own or an explicitly authorized voice.
06
Publish with a clear boundary
Review the series slug, selected episodes, any content already public, and the final RSS state before anything is exposed to the open web.
What the Marketplace app can do
get_account_overviewRead plan limits, status, prices, and available credits.
list_podcast_seriesPage through every series in the connected account.
get_podcast_seriesRead one series and its recent episode state.
list_podcast_voicesBrowse authorized hosts, voices, and previews.
create_podcast_seriesPreview the cost, confirm it, and create a private series.
create_podcast_episodePreview the cost, confirm it, and queue a private episode.
get_generation_statusCheck bounded progress without exposing raw logs.
prepare_voice_actionOpen a short-lived NewsTune voice handoff.
publish_podcast_seriesPreview and confirm the complete public scope and RSS state.
From a folder to a recurring show.
A practical workflow keeps collection, generation, and public distribution separate so the right approvals happen at the right time.
Choose a project boundary. Tell the local AI which folder, repository, or documents it may read and what it must ignore.
Find the destination series. Ask it to page through existing NewsTune series and continue the correct one.
Build a changed-only progress brief. Capture decisions and milestones since the previous checkpoint; skip when there is no meaningful update.
Preview the credit charge. Review the exact server-owned quote before confirming generation.
Keep the result private for review. Check the title, script, voice, and audio in NewsTune.
Publish deliberately. Approve the exact public episode scope and RSS state, then submit the feed to external podcast platforms yourself.
Automatic scheduling belongs to the host AI’s automation system. A schedule can collect and prepare private content, but each paid or public action must follow the confirmation rules shown by the connected tool.
